Recipe: Easy Homemade Caramel Iced Coffee

Easy Homemade Caramel Iced Coffee Recipe

Had I known how easy it would be to make these at home, I would have done it years ago. But I don't regret having paid for these treats out of my budget from time to time. Learning to treat yourself well is, in fact, a part of self-care, but making something from home that tastes just as good is a satisfaction like no other.

I purchased a big bag of ice recently (believe it or not, I haven't used ice trays in several years) and decided to make iced coffees my personal treat, especially now that the days are getting warmer. Saving me some money and making me feel like I'm living my own little coffee shop lifestyle right here at home.

I've developed my own way of making these as there are so many variations to choose from. I've also included a couple of my Amazon affiliate links to ingredient and product suggestions you might like as well. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup brewed hot coffee
  • Ice cubes
  • 1-2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1-2 tablespoons caramel syrup or sauce, to taste

Directions:

  1. Start by brewing 1/2 cup of your favorite hot coffee. If you want a stronger flavor to counterbalance the sweetness, give the LavAzza Dark Roast Coffee a try.
  2. Take a cup or glass that can hold around 10-12 ounces and fill it with ice cubes.
  3. Pour the freshly brewed hot coffee over the ice in the cup.
  4. Next, add 1-2 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream to the coffee, depending on your preference for creaminess.
  5. Now, it's time for the sweet touch. Drizzle or squeeze 1-2 tablespoons of caramel syrup or sauce into the coffee. Adjust according to your desired level of sweetness.
  6. Give everything a gentle stir to ensure the ingredients are well combined.

For an extra treat, you can top it off with whipped cream or a sprinkle of cinnamon if you like.

What is your favorite way to have your coffee?
